+ Action & infiltration gameplay in the great tradition of cinematic platformers.
+ Travel between districts using taxis, ferries, or monorail while trying to keep low profile.
+ A diverse, inclusive cast of complex characters to interact with through meaningful, branching dialogue.
+ Varied gameplay such as driving down epic highways, flying drones, hacking droids to do your dirty work and remain undetected.
+ Interactive, in-game multiple-choice events . In tricky situations, run away, argue to gain more time, or try to pull your gun.
+ Living, simulated world with dense crowd of citizens doing their own stuff.
Kickstarter: early 2015

Quote:
"We want to deliver what people really want, because we feel we're the only ones who can do it," Soret says. "We saw the remake of Flashback or Oddworld, and we feel it's far from what cinematic platformers could be today. So when you have a unique vision and you feel you have the power to do it in your hands, it would be terrible to not do it. We feel it's our duty."
2018, rise & fall:
- We doubled the team.
- We got ourselves a proper lovely studio in the core of London.
- Game budget finally got a *massive* raise.
- We found & developed the code architecture this game needed.
- We developed even more gorgeous hybrid 3D pixel art techniques.
Then...
- We encountered massive business, legal & funding issues we can't talk about.
- We had to cancel a new trailer of The Last Night at The Game Awards
- We're currently raising funds, so get in touch: hello@oddtales.net
To those we've been working with this year,
To those we were supposed to work with,
To my team,
You know who you are… I'm deeply grateful. Thank you so much being so patient, and for staying there also during the hard times.
2018 stats:
- 1.000.000 views on the reveal trailer!
- More than +6M views on all channels.
- My making-of for IGN is almost at 500k views... Insane.
- 186 000 wishlists on Steam with just one trailer. Unbelievable.
I have it wishlisted for a long time and it already smelled like vapourware, just awesome pixel art and technology but no content. Then they got some money, put some in their pockets and blew the rest. Now they are asking for more money. Well, it is a good strategy but will we ever see a game?
That's a shame..the lack of updates after the E3 trailer was already quite suspicious, now we know that they flew too close to the sun. I wonder if the next fundraising plan will follow the usual Hookers and Cocaine™ routine for poorly managed indie studios
Ran out of money? Turning into an Epic Games Store exclusive in 3.. 2.. 1...
