sony has a pretty decent battery management, except when you install some problematic app (like an exercise monitor that keeps the gps on all the time)... (I have a z3c)
the corners look really sharp though, I think my pockets wouldn't like it, and I wish they'd make something more rugged... but it looks great.
I haven't got the premium but just the regular XZ. The battery on the regular XZ is pretty good though, compared to the apple I had beforehand it's so much bette. Lasts about a day or 2 depending on amount of usage.
