Once outside, you’ll need to blend with the townsfolk to avoid recapture. Establish contact with the criminal underworld and stay one step ahead of the police dragnet.

Having a great time with this one. For being barely over 1gb, its not a bad game. But it IS a budget game. It has 3 islands, and you unlock them as you progress just like in GTA.
Its a mix of GTA 2 and theif simulator. I do like the stealing, breaking in and pounding stuff to earn money. Skills are unlocked by doing misions. There is no voice acting... guess one of the reasons the game isnt that large.
Anyway, played for 2.5 hours and must say I really love the destruction Will keep you posted!
What can I say, it was a fun game. It IS pretty buggy, but nothing gamebreaking. (at least not for me)
Dragging people, garbage bags and barrels are very glitchy. And while some sounds are very good, like the different types of vehicles, some other ones are way off. And one of them is pretty inexcusable. Melee combat has NO sound... and the game doesnt have any blood, so sometimes you dont really know if there was any inpact. Then you see them flying depending on what kind of melee weapon and if you sneak attack. Im sure all this will be fixed, but its a bit annoying. There is a fair amount of guns and different ammo types. You can call in for suplies or go to a gun store. In stick shooters the shooting is usually pretty consistant, but here it seems very random. Ok, you dont always hit what you aim at in real life either... but suddenly 2-3 shots at a guy with shotgun well within 15 meters miss. Same goes for other weapons. Seems like the AI does the same, seen police shoot in the ground in front of me.
Well, guess that was all the negative
The story is about 8 hours id say. Some might think these are cons: There are no minimap and there are no GPS with stupid green arrows that tell you where to go. You have of course a regular map where you see missions and so on. And the game doesnt always hold your hand, you have to actually use your brain to find out how you can get into a place and steal a uniform or crack a code. Its not hard, but there is a mission where you ONLY can progress and find a glove in a house (important mission) AFTER you have found the other one in the yard even tho the mission tells you to go into the house from start. Altho, this is a minor thing, and there is already a patch out (not that it fixed that or the melee sound )
After you finish the story its usual freeplay. Not much to do tho... finding money stash (100) and doing jumps (30). Oh yeah, and paintings. You get 500 at the art dealer for each painting you steal. They are all in houses afaik.
Still had a very good time playing it. Its a lot of fun... driving trough peoples yards at high speed crushing everything in your way.
7.5/10
Very useful tips:
Breaking in to a house give you a short time before the police will arrive. BUT if you steal the housekey of one of the people living there its no hassle. Just knock them out and take all they have and sell it
If you are on a mission and you crash into someone and get the police after you ...it happens all the time. And if you fuck up, just like in GTA you have to restart the whole mission; you should try to knock out a police officer if there are only one, then change into his clothes and continue. Saved me LOTS of times. Anything over 2 stars is to much to start a new mission. And some missions that doesnt just involve shooting and so on you cant have any stars. Too loose the cops, simply hide in a bush. The AI in this game is pretty damn terrible....
