|
 |
Quote: | Planets³ is a 3D open-world voxel-based RPG (first person view).
Imagined by video game lovers, Planets³ (pronounced «planetscube») combines the excitement of role playing with the pleasure of construction and the boundless freedom to roam about in a 3D universe. Its intricate plot and outstanding voxel based design offers opportunities for intense action and unlimited creativity. Planets³ has been designed to promote multi-player gameplay, to share the fun with friends.
Free to roam
In this completely open world, freedom is the key. With entire surroundings that can be completely modulated, destroyed and recreated as you wish, the only limit in Planets³ is your own imagination! But this freedom comes with its own set of challenges. For instance, to leave our planet and visit the universe, players must unlock their own personal spaceship, or build one themselves… And you’ll need the natives to grant you their trust, so you can master the craft system and learn new skills.
Travel the universe
During your journey you’ll come across animals which you can tame and mount. But the best way to travel is to create the vehicle you wish: Just assemble the blocks to get the shape you want and add the necessary control blocks (motor, cockpit, wheel …). Vehicles control blocks are crafted as any other object in the game, but the player will need to find the engineer job master to unlock the recipes.

On Minecraft.
In my opinion: It looks bad (as in not appealing style at all), I don't think it's fun and it's clunky. Add on top of that: a bunch of players are 12 year olds (even younger) and I have nor ever will have an interest in it

I could have liked it if wasnt for the terrible pop-ups and very low view distance.. never understod why they didnt fix that since you can easily get like 500 FPS or whatever, hardly very useful.
Might get this one later on, didnt interest me enough to back it..

don't agree. It's beautifull, atmospheric and very complex and addicting.
There is nothing like survival, wilderness, building some structure during the day, digging during the night, managing resources.
One of my fav moments was on 2 or 3 day of survival. Together with night, a terrific rainstorm came. Fantastic pixelated rain and the sound which it makes. I had a house with glass penthous just to safely watch night scenery. And then I've noticed that if You go below ground, there is water dripping from ceiling, during the rain and it's sound gets muffled the lower You get. One of best rain in video games. Almost as good as driving in a back seat in a taxi as a passanger during a rainy night in gta iv, with radio turned off.
You know, first impression is not always what You think it is. Minecraft is very complex and mastering it requires plenty of work.
my fav building I did after many hours of work. Shame I lost it on my pc and rapidshare died so I cannot play my own creation again it was so relaxing on top of the tower. especially sunset + minecraft jukebox or when it was raining

man, I wish I was as good in minecraft again as I was in 2012

I know exactly what game it is. I don't know every detail, sure. But enough to know if it's for me or not. Never seen the attraction at all.

Skyrim vanilla is crap compared to a properly modded skyrim. But skyrim is still skyrim.

Hence, the reason I hate those KS Threads.

Sorry, but this is bullcrap. On the 8th playthrough I finally tried playing the game without falling in the spiral of modding and I finally had a great experience with the game. I admit that I still used some mods, which do not change the visuals of the game - SkyUI and those 3 Crafting Overhaul mods, but thats all.
See, I didn't have a great PC until two years ago and I am used to playing the games with shiitty visuals. This way I learned to ignore the graphics and actually enjoy the gameplay and experience. Skyrim works great without the MODS.
I also like Minecraft for the same reason.

You didn't seem to read what i wrote. A properly modded skyrim. Your spiral suggests hoarding up with such a mess you lost control.
