Outside of the internet I respect her views, even though they are toffee, and she knows I am right, so she respects that.
If someone cannot respect you have different views to them, and if you can't respect they may have different views to you, then maybe stay at home and have a wank.

Anywho to be a bit more serious about it...
I also believe in: that having the same beliefs will benefit a relationship or... if both of you are mature enough to respect each other's beliefs. That being said: it's just a first date so get to know each other and if it is important to you: talk about it.
If you get to understand she is really strong on the whole religion and isn't open to you having a different view: then no matter what: abandon ship. Most will only get worse when they get older.
