I had a lower back pain for a couple of weeks after carrying too much weight, it was pretty bad but not crippling. This week I was finally better. Today while I was eating lunch it felt like the chair was really uncomfortable, then some pain started, got worse and worse, now it really fucking hurts, but its not the same place as before, it's higher, more like the middle of my spine... if I'm absolutely straight it's ok, but if I move a bit it hurts, putting my shoes on is torture, etc...

I hope it's not a hernia or something Sad anyway, just ranting Sad had some pretty bad shit happening in my life recently, I am still very grateful for what I have but I'd really like some good times, especially pain free..

Well head over to that one thread about the CBD someone there could hook you up with some. I hear it cures back pain AND herniated disks! Very Happy

Go visit a physiotherapeut or some such. It could just be a slightly disjointed vertebrae due to the weight carrying.

They can work wonders with the back and will probably make you do some back stabilization exercise aftewards.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

I really hope you went to a doc already, if you have pain for several weeks already?!

Not sure if my following tip is good for your case, or could make it worse. So definately go see a doc and ask him, if you haven't already.
When i have light pain in the lower back, i just do Deadlifts (start with low weights if you are not secure about the exercise). After ~3 sets it often already starts to get better. It also gets warm there, which helps too. Do this 2 times a week, and your lower back will gain muscles too.

Alternatively, try a Blackroll. That things hurts like hell the first times, but it really helps me! Very Happy

well I was better from the pain of carrying weight, this pain I have now is in a different place... I don't think it's related. Anyway, I talked to a friend who is a physiotherapist and he said if I'm not better in 3 days I should see a doctor, guess I'll do that on monday.

Guess I'm just getting old Sad

Hopefully it's just something muscle-related and fixable, you'll be functional after a proper 'massage' J Browman
I've got two permanently herniated disks but they've been there since forever, can't even blame the old age goddamnit!

Pilates is my lifesaver when it comes to back pain, I only need Deelix's pink suit and I can star in a 80s video Razz

Try ibuprofen or other NSAID's. It helped me with acute lower back pain. Btw, it happened one morning when I was getting out of bed. And then bang ! A sudden, extreme pain in my lower back. It was so sharp I thought I'll faint. My doc said, the nerve probably got pinched between the lumbar vertebrae's. So, he gave me a box of Ibuprofen (powder) and after a week the pain was gone. I still have some back pain episodes but fortunately not like that. Smile

Try and get some naproxen which is a stronger nsaid than ibuprofen.

I have a disc bulging out my spine and was in agony for a year and a half. These things helped massively.

Working 15 years in Tyre service done it for me. All those lifting of truck tyres, swinging of sledgehammers to break rings etc, no problem back then, but by God, I suffer now.

Still, wouldn't change it, as they were the best years of my life Smile

Rage Rage Rage Rage Rage Rage

I have now had horrible back pain for ~4 days. I think I caused it by changing my gym routine. I was usually doing heavy back workouts, and lately changed to much more core workouts (which does not seem to be enough for me).

Have to change back to old routine, it's just much longer Razz ~2h every day / 2 days.

sounds like you did something wrong, maybe rest for a few days and then pay more attention when you go back to the gym?

btw I never had any back pain anymore, but my left wrist hurts for the last month or so in specific movements (no, not that Laughing) Sad

for whoever is under 30: brace yourselves, old age is coming Laughing
