Do they work with games such as Cossacks II ?
Does anyone have a tip or two to bypass this Star "Cunt" Force ?

Buy a retail copy of the game, works nearly 100% of the time.

Hey you asked a question and I gave you the answer to it Smile

No they don't work with Cossacks 2, if you use Protection ID and check the version of SF3 a game is protected with if it's 3.4.71.x you're screwed for SFNightmare, if it's 3.4.72.x or higher you're screwed for the USB drive method.

Check the other posts on this forum for info on Protection ID, and USB drive method.

Yup no bit of software works 100% perfectly all the time, whatever it's protected with very occasionally you'll get a bad retail Smile

The upside being that if it's broken you can get it replaced gratis Smile

The downside of that being that if it's your cdrom unit or dvd unit. Well I'm sure you wouldn't mind buying a new one.

The usb-method still works, so dont spread lies about it. Cossacks 2 and Trackmania Sunrise have already been confirmed working using that method on a couple of other forums. According to some information I got from a person who works in the Starforce Nightmare team this usb-method cant be blacklisted that easily by Starforce, if at all.

Thats exactly what I also thought otherwise they would have fixed that usb exploit a lot sooner..,however they can totaly dissable support for USB dvdroms...but that would make starforce again more and more incompatible .

Actually i believe Starfuck/SFNightmare still work and that is RPMS emulation that is blacklisted thus making virtual drives useless and detectable as such !

Correct me if i am wrong tough !

Those are both 3.4.71 in the original release, what about the patched versions taking the protection up to 3.4.72.x?

I find being accused of lying extremely rude, if I'm wrong I'm happy to be corrected, but I'm certainly not consciously lying, please don't accuse me of doing so.

It still works and will work till they disable usb and scsi support no matter what sf3 version is applied.

The reason is easy. Sf3 driver can touch IDE drives while "patching" the atapi drivers on lowest level. Thats not able for USB and SCSI as to many usb hubs and SCSI drivers exist.

Trackmania Sunrise also works with SF Nightmare while using newest patch. Just the mini image is not working anymore for addional file checks but a full clone with proper rmps data will work for it. Good mds files can be found on any good forum/site like copybase.

So with new version of DT... Every SF3 game will be playable using SF Nightmare... Guess the round isn't over yet... Wink

You dont need newest daemon tools ... alcohol 2802 is enough as is newest virtual CD with old dtools rmps emulation enabled.

But newest daemon tools dont even need sf nightmare all games actually work with it according to venom386 so for sure its not final that emulation is defeated.

I updated Splinter Cell Chaos Theory to version 1.02. This version uses Sf 3.4.76.0 and my rmps-copy still works on my usb-drive. So the information you got is wrong.

yes its enough ... its not blacklisted in 3.4.76 version yet and a full clone of scct with good rmps mounted and using sf nightmare works fine.

according to copybase it does also do that for trackmania sunrise and cossacks 2 german version so i guess it works generally but i cant say for sure as i dont have that games myself. Only SCCT and for this it works proper here

If It's playable... why there aren't any normal clones... Clones from carbon or other Clone group... ?

These clones were working for very few ppl... and there were problems with serials and shit like that... maybe I'll try to make a clone from my copy of SC:CT... I hate to use the org disc...
