about one month ago there were a lot of SF3 games cracked and released by RLD, now I can see a long pause in the scene.
Mini-images work no more, SFnightmare is not enough 'cause RMPS emulation is blacklisted. Only that USB 2.0 method that is almost worse than the time when we had to disconnect the IDE cables...
Are you pessimistic as I am?

Only thing to do it speed seems to be to create a tool....maybe some guys are working on this????

I am not that pessimistic i know this will not go on forever but however i also do wonder how much fucking time the crackers need to crack this... maybe next year sf3 is history ? or the year after that...

imagine Serious sam2 or Quake4 with sf3 and no release for months.....LOL I almost can't believe that .

From what I have heard Starforce improved A LOT from that time and one of my friend (scener) said that Starforce 15 months ago and Starforce today are two completely different protections.

You don't have to be a scener to know that SF3 has improved a lot... and it's a lot different... One of the recent updates even changed opcodes...

Still it works very similar... cause the old and new games can use the same new drivers... so there has to be a way to break it quickly... But the methods crackers use are not enough... they were good for simpler protections not SF3... :]

you have realy no clue about sf3 and sf3 back to FLT/Deviance/IMMERSION times was alot different then today as everything they did for cracking SF coders (ex crackers) could explore and disable. Only way today is the way RLD use today and IMMERSION in the past and as new option creating your own serial for your own image. But i guess that serial stuff is not legit for scene otherwise we could see such stuff already as application groups like

AGAIN/PARADOX/CORE/EPS/TMG/SSG have the skills for it.

I know SF3 has changed... exploits have been patched... and stuff like that... but it's still SF3... they changed many things... but the protections works very similar to the way it worked a year before... I also wrote that they have to find new ways to crack it... bacause the old ones will not work... Wink

well its more like a sf4 already ... there is a updated VM / VMS system used now. Some part of old stuff used by IMMERSION and Deviance might be usefull anyway. Best way is to create a new debugger for ring0 protections. I guess thats the best help on decrypting the dll proper to get into the serial routine ... as fixing opcodes takes to much time and adding VMS protected game data will get it better protected.
