TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
so from the trailer it seems that you stand still and shoot... so AWESOME
These games are fun in VR. Outside of VR they don't translate to anything meaningful.

this. Audioshield is one of the greatest things since slicest bread and yet it's such a simple (and old) idea, it means nothing on a monitor, but in VR it's pretty cool.
Also, I thought it was pretty funny how it says VIVE on the side of the HMD that he puts on xD
but no moving around... except stupid vive teleporting... oh so fun

Mario Kotlar, a Level and Game Designer at Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope developer Croteam, recently revealed that Oculus VR offered the team a “shitton of money” to make its latest creation exclusive to the Oculus Rift, blocking out support for the HTC Vive. The topic started up in a debate about the news that Giant Cop, a VR game first announced for the HTC Vive, will now be a timed exclusive for Rift, causing outcry from the VR community.
“It wasn’t easy, but we turned down a shitton of money, as we believe that truly good games will sell by themselves and make profit in the long run regardless,” Kotlar claims. “And also because we hate exclusives as much as you do.” He wouldn’t confirm the final sum of money that was offered to the developer.
Begun the VR wars have.

Only gullible naive fools didn't immediately realise Oculus was going to be turned into a disgusting shithole of a company when it was bought out by Facecrook. All their bullshit since the purchase has been anti-consumer shitbaggery, the sooner Oculus fail and go out of business the better.

Greed and spite and bean counters are going to ruin mainstream VR before it's even had a chance to take off.
Wow we are entering some new derp territory, people. Standing in place and shooting at incoming retard enemies ...
Time to just wreck every good franchise out there with a quick rush to bank on this new VR bullcrap
Well it's pretty hard making VR games with movement when half of your audience get's terribly sick from it (it's really interesting how sick some people actually get from this a friend of mine barfed half a day after just triying some demos for 20 minutes) that's why so many VR games have teleportation lately instead of actually moving see Batman VR it's basically a standing around as Batman simulator with the occasional teleport here and there.
People get sick from non-VR games as well, fuck em. I think they're really just a small bunch of people but very loud. I have a hard time believing they are even used to 3D games. I played HL2 in VR (Oculus Rift DK2) for hours, never got sick, it should be even better today on modern VR hardware. Don't turn VR into boring tech demos where you can't even walk :/
Fuck em indeed. Stick them in VR DCS while flying the Huey for 20 minutes to cure them
I had mild nausea when I first tried Windlands, I tried pushing through but that was a mistake!
It takes time to build up your VR legs to withstand the more uncomfortable games. Flying seriously fucked with my senses for a while. Now I can fly the DCS helis and planes like a mad man with no nauseous effects.
I have no interest in these standing shooting games. A mate of mine gets very sick from certain non vr fps games. I can't see it but the movement of some games makes him want to puke within minutes. He says it's as if he feels like he's still moving even though his character has stopped.

Allrdy happened boring tech demos and stupid minigames is pretty much all there is atm
Yes, i skipped VR because of it.. having tons of fun with 3D Vision on a huge projected screen instead, great support for most games (thanks modders!). Witcher 3 is absolutely amazing with it.. It's not VR but it's the feature from VR that i'm mostly interested in (sterescopic 3D).

Sounds pretty cool, i actually really like VR as well but i think the tech is just not there yet and there is no killer app which would make it more then a expensive gimmick atm.

Well, you can't do much while wearing a VR headset Imho it was obvious from the very beginning that VR "games" would be severely limited gameplay-wise. That's why I've never particularly cared about VR.It could be great for watching films\tv series though
VR is just another "this is the future, BUY NAO!" gimmick. It will soon fade into oblivion, like 3D and Motion Controls did.
Just be patient.
Didn't buy a 3D TV but i liked the Wii i still play games with a wiimote in Dolphin from time to time.
The Wii had the "novelty factor" that saved it, making it attractive also to non-gamers with a lot of motion-enabled party and casual games. It also was focused almost exclusively on motion controls, forcing devs to use them.
But I think the fad has passed. The wii is good for some quick multiplayer fun, but more "serious" and deep experiences were lacking, and I think part of the blame lies with the motion controls (their lack of precision, but even more the fact that they are less immersive, forcing you to mimic real motions, thus "dragging you out" of the game in order to think on how to perform a certain action, as opposed to the immediateness of just pressing a button).
Kinekt failed, WiiU failed, PS Move failed... and I see this VR craze as an excuse for devs to try and "sneak in" motion controls once again. Fuck that. We don't need them. Wake me up when they developed a new non-gimmicky control scheme for VR.
