I own one of the "new" Xbox one controllers that has built-in bluetooth and would like to try a wireless connection for games that aren't latency sensitive. Now I'm wondering whether to get Microsoft's proprietary adaptor or a generic bluetooth adaptor.
My desktop doesn't have bluetooth so I have to buy a new device anyway, bluetooth being an open standard doesn't count as a positive.
How are your experiences with the proprietary connector? Is it absolutely hassle free? Are the drivers stable and maintained regularly?
What about generic bluetooth? Anyone have good or bad experiences? Any adaptors that work particularly well?
havent tried it, but any modern generic bt dongle should work fine out of the box (on windows 10). if you want to connect more than 1 device you must get the ms dongle, cause iirc bt handles only 1 xbox device
