Having got my new pretty wireless enabled PDA last night i spent the whole night (till 8am t is morning) setting up to how i like.. wisbar, povketbreexe, various networking tools.. and skype of course.. on this journey i installed a number of "war driving" tools.. now part of my job is network security/setup, mainly at trade shows etc.. so having a PDA should help t is but i couldn't find some key tools.. so im looking for apps (freeware/open source of course!) to do the following:

- sniff/capture packets - must be able to download later for de-cryption
- network browsing - view network shares
- LAN moniter - information on the lan and computers that sit on it.

thanks guys Smile

As for the packet sniffer there is only one I can find a trace of via google. It's known as "Airscanner" but it has been discontinued, on top of that I can't find a download spot for it anywhere, so if anyone has a copy please speak up (IT IS FREEWARE before anyone starts Razz).

- Although, this may not work on PPC2003 Sad!!

haha.. i was being honest when i said I use it for work, normally i walk around with a laptop, which is rather annoying. However I wont say I wouldn't use it for "other" activities, as I would be lying Wink!

i think you should use your notebook for "wardriving", you find more tools for that.
Some to mention are:

PPC:
Pocketwarrior: http://www.pocketwarrior.org/
Ministumbler: http://www.stumbler.net/ (out of date)

Windows/Linux/BSD
Aircrack: http://www.cr0.net:8040/code/network/
WepLab: http://weplab.sourceforge.net/
Airsnort: http://airsnort.shmoo.com/

Edit: oops, just noticed that one link was wrong Wink
