hey there,
some time ago i made me a new windows 7 and i remember that on my old install Video files didnt get a preview in my explorer wich was goos since it didnt slow down when opening an folder with 100 vids in it..
Now, on my fresh install, Video files get thumbnail previewd again and i really need/ want it to be off.
Only for the Video files not the pictures..
It was working like that before so i think missed something..
Anyone knows how i can disable VIDEO file Thumbnail preview and only have Picture thumbnail preview enabled in the windows 7 explorer?

Renaming the MF.dll (system32) did work, no more video preview, BUT, and thats a real biggy, if i rename(disable) mf.dll, Firefox has no HW decoding anymore... ARGH.....

yay, i found the solution, finally 
So, if anyone else wants a fast and reliable win 7 explorer, (or win 8 etc), here are the steps...
Theres this tool here:
CodecTweakTool
http://www.codecguide.com/download_other.htm#codectweaktool
With it, you can tweak it to your likings, you can even make it so windows shows you only preview for the files you want..
Steps:
nice and clean..
Now my explorer is really fast again when going trough those folders..
