I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ? |

As a person interested in the field of parapsychology, I can tell you as a whole its basically not true. But there is one thing true. The Defeo family murders. This case is nothing but a dam hoax which makes real ghost cases look bad.
But on to the new version of the movie. Yes it is bull shit. George never became possessed by the house. His daughter never climbed up on top of the house. There was no John Katchem (in fact, towards the end that whole secret room bit seemed to be a hellraiser ripoff). The whole scene with the priest was wrong. He didnt bless the downstairs, he went to bless the upstairs. How come only George and his daughter were the only ones to see ghosts? George never chopped up his dog. The house looks nothing like the real ammityville house. I'm surprised they even got the fact that they left 28 days after they moved in right.
But I'm sure some people will reply and say its only a movie, and screw the events. Ok, fair enough. The movie on its own sucked. Its not a type of movie in which it can hold its own. The possession bit dragged on wayy too long. It was just something you'd expect from seeing a watered down poltergeist or house movie. You all remember the movie series called The House? That ended up getting stupid. What hollywood should of did was take off the "based on a true story" bit. This is just pure crap and makes real paranormal cases look fake. Anyone who attempts to try to prove me wrong will be made to look like a moron because I have plenty of evidence to back me up. Just look at the Warrens website.

Yea, theres just too much evidence out there. Heres a few things more to throw in.
It was a hoax for money because the Lutz's couldnt afford the mortage of the house. The movie is inaccurate because they said they got the house at a steal. The ammityville house costed alot and was no wheres near a good price. Kaplan himself studied the house and found nothing in it. No lightorbs, nothing with the meters, no cold spots. And the people living there now arent complaining of any paranormal activity.
If you guys are intestered in a really good haunted location, I suggest you guys look into the Paris Catacombs. That place has alot of history and theres even a tour you can go through.

I thought it was ok. It was a decent horror movie. What you expect? Then again I was just glad with wasn't another PG-13 wuss fest. Getting sick of these PG-13 "horror" movies. But I'm also getting sick of remakes and this was one of them. Although I never saw the original (fuckin Blockbuster and their pos dvds).

I knew what Amityville was before seeing the remake so I figured the remake wasn't gonna be as "true." Remakes always add new shit to try to make it cool to the younger crowd. Plus I didn't really believe it to begin with.

Yea. The whole thing seemed like it was one episode out of Freddys Nightmares. Oh I know, lets make up a story about this guy who killed indians hundreds of years ago that was a rogue priest, than they go and explain that thats the reason why the house is haunted. I swear theres like something wrong in each scene. I'd like to know exactly why they changed Jodie from a pig to a girl? Also, there was no catacombs in the house. There was just a secret red room that George found.
Heres my final thought on this case:
Theres only a few things we know for sure. The Defeos were murdered and the Lutz's ran away 28 days after they moved in. Theres been soo many storys on this that say its fact and that its fiction in so many ways you cant even tell what really did happen. Because of all the storys being changed it has rendered this case complete bullshit. I find it funny how the priest in all this got kicked out of his own church because he played a part in this hoax. I cant believe people still buy into this. If anything, if a place was really haunted it would be closed off from the media. The caretaker would than contact a team of professional parapsychologists. I know all about this because I have a friend that lives in Erie, PA that is an actual parapsychologist. Dont believe any of this bull shit.
The sad part is that people still believe in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It was really a story based off of the killer Ed Gein. There was no chainsaw. Tobe Hooper got that idea when he was in a hardware store.

LOL. Yeah I was gonna mention TCM too and how that's fake also. My sister when the remake came out (which sucked) was telling me about how the guy is still alive and not caught and all this bullshit. I just rolled my eyes cause I knew it was based off the killer Ed Gein.

Yea, its just amazing how many gullible people there are online and in real life. You could go on IMDB right now and find hundreds of posts of people saying TCM is real.
