About the game:
Where does the name come from?
The title comes from the story of the game. Without giving too much away, you play a female protagonist named Merryn. Your dad used to sing you songs at night to put you to sleep, those songs were his way of telling you stories about his life's adventures of when he was younger. As you grew, you started to doubt those stories and the songs stopped. Well, your dad goes out to the ocean one morning, you wait all night but he never comes back... Unafraid, you pilot a submarine vehicle but as you go deeper into the depths of the sea, you find that all your dad's stories of horror are true. EDIT: Yeah it's up on Steam under new releases but it still shows as pre-purchase so it's not out on Steam, yet.
EDIT: So a release is out? Guess the pre-purchase thing on Steam is in error and the game itself is available.

I installed the sacred yarr of the seas and played for a while (Cthulhu bless small ISOs), 'tis quite a pleasant surprise. A charming metroidvania-ish adventure with very pretty art-style and big focus on exploring and finding secrets, unlocking areas with the right equipment and so on.
Nothing out of the ordinary of course, and it's clearly low budget-y, but it's also a very relaxing experience (dat music) wrapped in a well-oiled formula, which never hurts. It is needed from time to time :')
My only complaint is *shakes fist*

KB+mouse controls suck......but I got used to them in time.. but they still suck..especially the way they utilize mouse controls..
This! I don't know what they were they thinking, but no matter how you rebind 'em, the controls never feel right. I had to grab yer derpad and face the harsh scenario, as expected (and as often happens with 2D platformers) that's definitely the recommended way to play without having to resort to the divinity cursing xD
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
