Gave up on even sending CV's for a while, will pick it up shortly... at least that's what I tell myself
Already employed BTW, just looking for something more challenging/better paid, since the only way to progress where I'm at is making friends with the "upper echelon".
Which in this case, in addition to being shit professionals also has the bonus of most of them being shit people, so fuuuuuUUUuuuuUUUuuUUuuUUuUUck that!

Your girlfriend's location? What the hell? How did they do that and why did they even mention it?

remember that i'm not used to job interviews and the tricks they can try to play on you.
Interviewer: Do you have a wife or a girlfriend?
me: Yes, a girlfriend
Interviewer: Where does she live?
me: She lives in ********
Interviewer: Ohh, but does that mean you could choose to move to ****** somewhere down the line?
Then i figured out they laid a trap and i was taken aback for a second or two and straight up lied and said she'd have to move to me. If i said "yes" id be doomed, if i said "who knows" i'd be doomed as well. Fucking hell. But i just hope they believed me.

I'd have just replied that she's not a swallower so there's no future in the relationship. You have to learn how to get out of these traps with some tact.

I would have liked to say some of what you said, i just don't get why they set up to be lied to. Completely unnecessary question.

How do you fake interest in a position, while you have absolutely no interest in it? The company is a good one and I think there might be future in it (i.e. more interesting vacancies when/if I get higher up). Just be honest, or try to fake it? I'm worried the HR woman will know if I try to fake it since she probably has waaaay more experience with job interviews. This is a very hard company to get in to btw.

Imo wouldn't expect to get anything in the first couple of interviews.. i think it takes a few until your truly comfortable with the process.

This is a good answer, shows your available, not afraid to speak your mind and you would stand out from other candidates.
