He is one of my favorite D&B artist. Its more 'subdued'..dont think that the right word. cant think of another adjective. Smooth? blended?..no none of them are the right word either.
But it doesn't sound as cymbal and snare filled and 'tinny' as most D&B artist. Its like they all crank the last 3-4 sliders on the EQ to +20db. While his is more mellow and 'flat' across the board, sort of like the smooth jazz/lounge of D&B to me as stupid as that sounds (not the style of it, just the tone of it).

Ah, that link explains it a lot better than I did and why it sounds 'better' to me on whats different spelled out vs my 'just feels different' explanation.
less of the "amen break" cranked up on treble repetition that D&B is famous for (well based on actually).
If someone isnt sure what that is:

His is a lot easier on my ears when using it as background music for me.
I listen to music ALL the time during a day. But hardly ever in a 'direct' way. Its more its on while doing something (working, playing a game, shuffling around my garage occupied with something). Most the time music is my 'white noise'. Think why majority of the time i listen to stuff like this:
(spoiled as its WAY different than the topic).

And if I'm in a D&B mood his works best. A lot of high end cymbals and snares with a loud snap to them is like shaking a can of pennies at me. It drags the music from the background in a "NOTICE ME" kinda way.
Anyway for my long ramble here is another artist I enjoy a lot:
