Quote:
The beloved RollerCoaster Tycoon® franchise soars to new heights with RollerCoaster Tycoon: World™ for PC! RCTW is packed with all the fun-filled gameplay fans know and love, plus all-new innovative features to help you build the park of your dreams

Developed by Pipeworks, RollerCoaster Tycoon World once again puts players in charge of a theme park, complete with rides, shops, patrons and, of course, the titular roller coasters. Park maintenance and customer happiness need to be tended to, as well as overall constructionand. ction and expansion efforts. But in the newest installment, players can also cooperate with up to four players to manage one massive amusement park.
"Many of the new features in RollerCoaster Tycoon World were not possible a few years ago, but we have taken advantage of technological improvements to offer a wildly fun gaming experience that stays true to the storied franchise," Atari CEO Fred Chesnais said in a press release.
Other players' parks can be visited, and coaster blueprints can be shared online as well –– Pipeworks wants to make RollerCoaster Tycoon World the most connected Tycoon title yet.
Atari said RollerCoaster Tycoon World is a full PC experience, and will be "micro-transaction free," so players will have access to all of the content at release.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

After checking the curriculum of these guys, the whole thing is not looking very promising Cool Face (lots of console garbage/mobile stuff in there)

But I'll try to stay positive for now Everything Went Better Than Expected

Aww Yeah

I would LOVE a new and fun sim in the style of the older Rollercoaster Tycoons or Theme Park, but still probably end up the same way as Sim City 5 Sad

Maybe by saying that many features were not possible before they mean that new sim city has shown them that with the power of the cloud(tm) the improved and superior AI is possible.

The whole thing sounds fishy, but i hope i am wrong and we'll get a real rct sequel Smile

This looks ... better than expected Everything Went Better Than Expected Let's hope they do not fuck it up, the park looks pretty large too. Please, please, please do not cock this up (and bring it to Steam).

I wanted this feature for SimCity, to be able to build and manage a large city in co-op, instead Maxis gave us cities for ants, dlc, lousy servers and offline mode.

When I was a kid RCT was probably the best relaxing game I've ever played. Looking at the RCT2 reviews now I can't believe it scored this low. The game is purely amazing, I can't find any flaws in it really. Its colorful, its fun to watch what the different rides are doing, there's so much stuff to use in therm of buildings, the missions can be very challenging, you have a level editor, you can share your creations with your friends, the music is good, yes the sound effects are repetitive but that was limitation of the engine back then I guess, seriously whats not to like in the game?? As long as the new game is good as RCT1/2 I am fine. I don't need anything more tbh. I would be happy if they just add more rides and buildings to RCT2 and I will still play it a ton.

I like how these are presented as features. Laughing As if this is should not be expected by players out of all games.

Yes its decent too but the character design was pretty bad imo. They went for some wacky look.

Speaking of rollercoasters I just saw this one on Steam:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/301320/

It looks good but it's more like a simulation and not a game as there is no park management.

Have you played it? Did you try the demo? That's weird because I don't see any negative comment about it on Steam forums.

Well, I've just tried the demo and it's amazing. The CAD based builder works like a charm. Yes it's a rollercoaster sim, a good tool for rollercoaster enthusiasts and certainly not a game.
