My Antec true blue 480w gave up the other week!
I got a new Antec neopower 480W yesterday and after about 4 hours my comp died again, now when i press the powerswitch the fans spin for half a second and thats it. Anybody knows anything about this shit? Is it the motherboard?

probsbly your RAM blown, or another component.. play around with the RAM, PCI/AGP cards and see what works. If your fans go for a seccond then stop its a hardware issues, not a PSU issue.

first disconnect all floppy, cd/dvd and hard disk drives from the psu. I just recently had a pc wich was completly dead (nothing was working) so i build in a new psu and still nothing worked. So i decided to unplug everything from the psu except the motherboard. The port 20a diagnostic card all of a sudden showed normal activity, turned out to be the floppy drive, as soon as i plugged that to the psu the pc was dead again, even the old psu was working like normal again without that floppy connected.

run to a friends house and rip his PSU out while hes not looking...
Run Home, Fire it in and see if it was your PSU thats the problem...
If it works, run to you friends house with your dead PSU and fire it into his computer while he is not looking...
Now Run home and play games...
