Okay I don't know much about overclocking. What I am trying to do is get my Athlon 2500+ Barton up to 2.2ghz with a 400fsb. I'm using an ASUS A7V8X-X. I'm thinking the problem could be that I'm using one 512 stick of Crucial PC2700 and one 512 stick of Crucial PC3200. I got my cpu to 2.2ghz by changing the multiplier to 13 and the fsb to 170, but my pc would still crash if i played a game or put a lot of stress on the system. When I tried changing the fsb to 200 my monitor wouldn't power on but the pc would be running. I'm using a Thermaltake Silent Boost for cooling. If anyone has any solutions or suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

Oh, and here's a full list of what is in my system:

Set the vcore in low steps higher until u get an stable system. But watch out for Temps and dont go over 2,00 Vcore!
