Mmmmmhh

This thing has a "Project cars like" investment thingy...
Considering the $$$ I made out of it last time, should I ...

70,000 copies sold for break even doesn't sound that bad.

Philosopheraptor

Also the other guys fucked up last Guitar Hero economic model with their shit "pay" per play system.

rocksmith is much better as you can learn and play the real thing. Next Rockband should think about this. They could use real instruments as well.

not funding this Razz

If they allow me access to all my owned Rock Band songs from the 360 then it might be worth the $50. Still glad to see this as a possibility on PC.

MICROSOFT: We're bringing console games to PC... but you need the Windows 10 store.

You might want to do some research on fig before jumping in though. Smile

They added a new tier for all the peasants that want the DLC and its additional songs:
Quote:
Starting now, available only to Fig backers, is the chance to purchase the entire Rock Band DLC library for use with Rock Band 4 for PC.

That's right, this Backer Tier includes every single song* still available in the Rock Band store when Rock Band 4 for PC launches, starting from the beginning of time** and ending on our launch date, in the fall of this year.

The exact song count may vary, but we should have over 2,000 songs available, all of them included in our “Collector” tier for $2,500. Run, don’t walk, to our Backer Tier section and check it out. It’s the best deal on DLC that we’ve ever offered, and perfect for the Rock Band Super Fan who wants to start over on PC.

Sounds like a deal to me!

That also just shows how ridiculous gaming has become with digital micro transactions in games as I and sure there are people that have spent that much on Rock Band on the Xbox 360 and PS3 getting all the songs only to have them be useless going forward.

Considering I remember "porting" rock band songs from the 360 to the PS3 back then, I'm sure somehow we can do the same for PC and possibly even create custom songs like on consoles.

Weird that they didn't extend the campaign for 40 years. A member of Harmonix co-owns fig, after all.

Good fucking riddance.

Too bad it seems they think it's somehow because there isn't "enough audience" on PC Laughing

Quote:
How do we feel about the end of the campaign? Disappointed, obviously. There’s no shortage of people at Harmonix who love Rock Band, and some of us got extra excited at the prospect of bringing back RBN, and even more about getting the chance to expose RB to a brand new audience.

But at the same time we learned exactly what we needed to learn: there doesn’t seem to be enough of an audience to make Rock Band for PC a viable project for us right now.

Here's a thought: maybe RELEASE THE FUCKING PC PORT OF A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR FRANCHISE instead of begging for money on fig? Laughing

My fault.

Their terms were too selective and too "intrusive" to my taste so I didn't invest, sorry folks.

Reason why that platform will fail... They came too late to the party and if you don't offer something better...

Even as a port nobody would buy this game on pc. Rocksmith is very popular and also a useful tool for beginners.
