I consider creating a facebook profile, as I will sooner or later require one. I'm actually not really interested in socializing with strangers or people that I haven't talked to in a long time.

I created a private one when the plans were for me to move abroad (so people I knew could stay in touch). I stopped using it after I lived 2 years in Sweden. It's always the same bullshit on there. It's pretty much either a fake positive life simulator or a bitch about how much more terrible you got it in life thing. Almost never reality.
I also got a second account that I use to comment on sites or enter giveaways with. Filled with complete nonsense and about 1000+ friends whom mostly are: cosplayers, artists, SJW and hill billies.

Not interested in what they're selling and besides, I don't need to know every fucking single step of everyone I know at the workplace and out of it. If I want/need to I'll just ask them when I see them.
It would be convenient to chat with some folks sometimes since seemingly no one else uses skype anymore (although now I have whatsapp as an alternative), but that would be the only use for it.

It will happen,sooner than later,if you appear there with your real name. People who didn`t talk to you and still owe you 100bucks will send you messages like "Eyyyy,whazap brotha,long time no see. So happy to find you here,let`s keep in touch" and from that on,they will never engage you in deeper communication but send you weird Facebook game invites,dull pictures etc. instead and never speak of dem moneyz again

I opened an account a few month ago to be able to communicate within a group for the organzation of an event. I added only one person of said group and my gf.

I made one with a fake name specifically for Gabe's amazing coal back in the day, so it's always inactive except for when it comes to all the free Steam keys and stuff like that.
The only time that I actually used it was when last year some friends organized a chat group, but since they've recently migrated to Whatsapp, the Zuckworld is now barren to me.
A fun anecdote, some friends actually created a legit account for me as a 'gift' for my birthday a couple of years ago, by adding thousands of people, questionable local celebrities, brothels..everything 
Needless to say, it was automatically flagged as spam and closed before I could even see it, I believe my name is also somewhat 'blacklisted' xD
