@Mytos
NO, i thought of that game too.
But there was another thread for this game here already or? As i posted a screenshot of that old Bedlam game there too
This one looks great, really great, but I'm not keen on the focus of roguelike permadeath stuff. Still... it does look awesome.
play some cataclysm dda.
The world is permanent, but your characters are not. So any changes you make in the world stays there, such as a fully stocked base, a vehicle or whatever other accomplishments you can do that are external to character building.
In roguelike, these kinda things will help new characters to get better along, if you remember where they are in the world.
Aside from that, it really is a great roguelike.
Love the art style, better than wasteland 2 for me. hope the combat is tactical and not luck based
combat is described on KS page
The interesting parts

The combat in BEDLAM is turn-based and incorporates our exciting blitz battle system, which has three main features: no turn-order for combatants, powerful Dozer upgrades (various abilities your crew can use on the battlefield), and a primary Dozer weapon that can turn the tide of a battle in an instant!
The Shotgun and Rifle classes The Shotgun and Rifle classes
During battle there is no turn-order among your crew members, allowing you to select anyone on the battle board to move and/or attack each round. Combat plays like carnage-filled chess, with different classes (melee, shotgun, pistol and rifle) that each have a specific movement distance and optimal damage range.
While forming a battle strategy, you must factor crew member positions, relative health of all friend and foe combatants, control of key battle board areas, crew-impacting Dozer upgrades and, of course, the primary Dozer weapon.
If you plan your battles effectively, triumph is assured! On the other hand, a few wrong choices could result in grisly death... and once a crew member falls in combat, they are lost for the remainder of the game ("permadeath"). The wasteland is a cruel and unforgiving place!

"allowing you to select anyone on the battle board to move and/or attack each round." = sounds like broken combat system to me.
So Chess has broken combat aswell?

Also Banner Saga so far the worst turn based combat ever conceived in a game.
imo it was fine but kinda unusual - BTW: this game uses only engine of Banner Saga not its battle system - this one looks more chesslike as you can see in gifs
Chess doesn't have units that special attack wipe of 5 pieces a turn. Also chess units don't become super soldiers with inhuman speed and wits each time a comrade dies on the battlefield.
I see the same thing above in the GIFs, with that one monster/mutant/thing wiping out three guys in one move. That in a "permadeath roguelike you will die lololol" style game just looks like a recipe for table flipping. I'm glad it was funded though, it certainly sounds interesting and I'll be willing to check it out.
It looks and sounds great.. I really want to like this. Hopefully there's difficulty options so the pussies amongst us can turn down some of the obviously blatant bullshit "Mutant lizard spits acid, your whole team dies! Game Over! Roguelike!"
