Hey all, which format would be the best yet still be around 1.5GB in size for an average length 720p movie? With so many encoding options out there now, I'm not sure which is the right way to go. Ideally, it would be compatible with a Plex server/player setup. Thanks in advance!
Note: please move thread if necessary. Not sure if this would go here or in one of the more technical forums. Thanks.

H.264 is the format right now, usually the free x264 encoder. x265 is not yet ready at all at this point, so you don't have much choice. But at 1.5GB it makes no sense. Storage these days is so cheap.
Thanks all for the replies. I searched on what you guys mentioned and I have a better idea of what to look for now. Much appreciated. I dont mind bumping up the size to around 2+GB so that is fine too .
@Leo - I agree and space isn't necessarily the issue, it's a stupid-ass bandwidth cap now .
