Absolutely gorgeous artwork too. Wadjet continue to impress the hell out of me with their fun, and beautiful, games.

Meanwhile Ron Gilbert has found some old disks from his DOS days and is asking $600k to release them as a new game.

Blackwell series was absolutely amazing, I consider it to be the best example of modern adventure games. No stupid inventory puzzles either.

Looking forward to this one!

In my book, all games published by Wadjet Eye are winners.
They feed a niche market, but they're the most consistent gaming company in the business right now.

Everything made (or published) by Wadjet Eye is fucking excellent. Will preorder as soon as possible. Very Happy

Their newest game, A Golden Wake, was pretty cool, albeit quite short (2.5 - 3 hours)

They're also working on Technobabylon right now, a cyberpunk adventure game. Very Happy

This one looks nice. Art style reminds me a fair bit of Primordia.

Out on Steam, one of the reviews mentioned it took around ten hours to finish the game but the reviewer was stuck for "hours" on two of the puzzles.

I've got the perfect life.

huehue, nevermind!

As per tradition, I thoroughly enjoyed the clicky ride. Razz Perhaps not Wadjet's best game, because of some minor shortcomings (and a final part that felt a bit rushed) but damn, classic point-'n-click adventure games are such a treasure. There's nothing to do, for me nowadays TV Series simulators will always pale in comparison, no matter the budget, eyecandyness and glowing journoviews.

The decaying cyberpunk-apocalyptic-ish atmosphere was gripping (more on the grim side compared to Technobabylon) and the story interesting* (with some ups and downs, but nothing serious), bonus points for using some solid voice acting.
Truth to be told, the puzzles were fairly straightforward overall, if we exclude only one particular difficulty spike near the beginning (still, practically nothing compared to the cryptic stuff that could be found in the old Myst games Very Happy Laughing). If I had to rate it, I'd go with a solid ~8/10.

Played it, finished it. Took me 6 hours maybe? It feels longer than previous games i played, so the length is quite satisfactory. Never found a puzzle that was too hard, but as with all their games the ending is too abrupt. Character development is lacking and the game would really benefit from a longer epilogue.

The game felt pretty rushed towards the end and a lot of things just weren't given enough screen-time. I liked Technobabylon much more.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

The best game they published for me, by far, was Gemini Rue. Blackwall was good too, but i found the story a bit all over the place.

Haven't played Technobabylon yet... I'm going through the new Deponia game just now.
