Okay Guys. Here's the deal, This is my game....so delete this topic if you consider this spam. or check it out, comment, buy, or politely ask for a code (I will happily offer any to a community that I love and have been apart of for so long.)
Sprinter is a challenging, top-down action game, with striking minimalist artwork, soaked in a dynamic original soundtrack that builds and interacts with the player as they progress.
Key Features:
1: Addictive, challenging gameplay that features lightning quick retries. [/]
2: Minimalist aesthetic with a hand-drawn feel and an color palette that shifts as the player progresses.
3: Atmospheric original soundtrack that reacts to the player -- building to a fever pitch with each chapter.
4: An illustrated narrative told exclusively with visual imagery featuring perspectives on an intimate family story.
Hope you like it. I made this game on my own, a total labour of love, I don't expect it to sell well, and I don't care, I'm just proud of it and want everyone I care about to see it.

Artistically it looks very well done and interesting.
It's not my kind of game though, so i won't play it.
But still, good look with it, maybe it will sell well!

Thanks for the kind words Bob, I think it may not be many people's type of game to be honest, but I'm hoping the small audience that's there for it will respond...well see.
I'm working hard promoting it, and wont stop for at least a few months. We will see how the launch goes over the next week, will tell me more I think.
Could be fun, guess it's one of those games you have to experience. Love the style of it, probably will help a lot with sales. People tend to forgive lesser titles if the style appeals them.
What kind of price are you thinking on this?
Btw...
Don't bundle it for promotion though, better have a few key giveaways on Steamgifts/Steamcompanion to get some reviews going. Maybe have some people here try it out in exchange for an honest review (be it good or bad!).
Anywho, good luck with it. Nice to see someone from the community getting a game out.
Edit: Good choice on the music, saw the trailer without sound... but when I checked the forum and people compared it to Thomas was alone I had to check it out.

I agree with Morphi on gifting away some copies on for example Steamgifts.
I often find interesting games that way, i probably wouldn't find otherwise .

Giev key pls. I don't understand very well how the game plays so I'd like to try it myself.

I composed the music
Im an ex composer, animator and programmer....so yeah, made sense to make a game.
Audio is the most important part, so im annoyed steam auto mutes by default. hopefully the volume slider animation in the beginning of the trailer will help that though.
That's not too much. I just might get it once the paycheck arrives in 2 weeks. I definitely need something other than CS GO or the AAA garbage diet I've been on lately. I'm starting to have dreams where I have Tec 9s instead of hands and Fable is perpetually pissed off.
My god this game is brutal for someone who isn't that used of a gamepad. I don't think I'll ever be able to get gold times.
That being said while it being challenging for me, it doesn't put me off. Difficulty hits just about the sweet spot. It surprised me though.
There is an option to make it easier, but haven't felt the need to do so yet.
The tutorial is nicely done, pretty straightforward but doesn't take you out of the game.
Illustrations look good, game has a lot of atmosphere thanks to the music.
I noticed while being alt tabbed the music stops after a while, might not be intended but I like it for browsing purposes.
I like it, quality reminds me of some of the better (small) indie titles I've played so far. Far from the usual trash that gets dumped on Steam these days. If there is anything I can see people complain about than it is most likely them wanting more levels.
Chapter 5: Gaddamn this is hard, I'm surprised I cleared the first 2 runs in this chapter.
I rage quitted after some time at the third run.
Haha
Sorry, yeah the game is very hard, but I love it for that. Remember easier mode, dont be afraid to use it. although the end of chapter 5 and 6 are hard as hell even on that mode
Im really glad you enjoyed it though Morphineus, a review would be massively appreciated if you can spare the time, and be brutally honest

I definitely wont bundle it, and your iso demo is in your inbox.
Hehe no need to apologize. It's good that it's not easy. It doesn't help that I'm not that used of gamepad gaming and I was getting drowsy by that time so it's fair.
Probably end up writing a review later tonight or by tomorrow.
Key sent. An honest review will be greatly appreciated.
I love you guys by the way! am so nervous right now, but just the response in this topic has made me feel proud and made me forget about the impending doom that waits for me over the next few days
(I need to sell 1k+ copies to be able to sort out my life and have time to apply for a job. And I am really not sure if I will manage it.)
(I need to sell 5k to keep creating games full time... (dreamland))
nice man. Congrats on delivering a product. that alone is a feat that most people never accomplish.
always glad to at least try helping an artist put food on the table. Will play the game and cook up a review by tomorrow, and if I enjoy it, will pester friends to buy it, not much more I can do

That is all I could possibly ask for, and it means the world (whether you enjoy it or not )
Have some pr stuff to do over the first month of release to really push it, ideas like personal emails to hundreds of influential figures in the industry, offering a key and hoping they respond and maybe tweet about it.
Then of course, forums, and giveaways, and just hoping the reviews and popularity on Steam go a small way to helping it.
I wanted to make something unique, and I think i did that... problem is it just might not have an audience outside of me and my brother.
Hmm, this looks very interesting actually, I do love the art style, but I really can't tell if the game is for me, seems like a time attack sort of game which is a thing that doesn't really appeal to me.
Congratulations on managing to make a game in the first place and actually releasing it after, that's really cool, haha!
I hope it sells enough... I'm sure it will, there's absolute garbage on Steam that somehow sells, in some cases a lot, and always makes me question the sanity of the human race.
Oh, and yes, definately try to give copies to youtubers and streamers, that'll get you exposure like nothing else ever will!
Oh, I didn't know a gamepad is recommended. I don't have access to mine right now.
