Don't know where this should go. Got a couple of mates (like 4 of us) or play regularly on a game (7 days to die) on our own server. At the mo none of us have the dedicated machine to have this running during day for when one of us wants to pop on for a quick session.

Short of having to pay for a dedi box somewhere which we aren't sure justify the costs for the small amount of playtime we all do together, do any of you lads have access to a dedi box somewhere u use for gaming server which isn't being used these days? Send me a PM or drop a message here if you know of somewhere or hosting which is worthwhile for the little we use.

Server instances are pretty cheap these days, depending on how much grunt you need. Although you might pay a premium if you need a Windows box. What sort of specs are you chasing?

Hello DCB. Really not sure what I am chasing in terms of specs... I know that a 1mb upload with 4 people just doesnt cut it, so a few meg at least.
In terms of sys specs, a fairly decent (least dual core cpu) with 4gb ram Id assume.

I can run dedi and play on my machine at home with 8gb ram but the connection craps out basically.

i5 -3570k
8GB DDR 3
Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Gaming G1
32GB of terrible skill @ FPS games.

Cheap dedicated servers. 20€/month for i5 and it will run you anything you throw at it.
Heck even that 15€ i3 would run it all.
