The big news is today Disney announced the are moving it from May 2017 to December 15, 2017, 7 months later than originally scheduled. Good thing IMO. More time for the rendering of the CG / reshoots / editing and there's something that screams Xmas holidays in SW if you ask me..

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
I want to see Rey struggle a bit. But you know how it is with females, needs to be 100% empowered. No training required! That's my single complaint about her.
If they start to rebuild a new Jedi Order in EP8 or EP9, I wonder whether they will allow the members to "feel" and express feelings aka engage in relationships. That'd be a cool twist, because Jedi can be heartless bastards, almost drone-like.

The whole Jedi concept needs to be reformed and refined. You can't allow sex for relief and reproduction and not expect emotions to happen between Jedi/Jedi relationships or Jedi/Civilian or Jedi/Something relationships.
I don't know. I think Jedi/Jedi relationships or sex between Jedi would be like sexing your collegues in any other real life business and it'd be weird - and it'd sooner or later spark controversies, jealousy and what not else. If relationships are to be allowed at all they need to be with someone not a Jedi, I think. You can't avoid emotions unless you drug every Jedi or do something else to them in order to make them void of emotion.
If a Jedi had a wife and she lived in the temple in like a civilian section of it, would that work? If she lived on her own somewhere else outside the temple or temple perimeter, someone could possibly find her and use her to blackmail the Jedi.
Doesn't sound so good. I've read some people who were hoping that Leia was going to die anyway in ep8, solving the problem of Fisher being.. unavailable to shoot ep9. But sources say she was actually going to have her biggest role in this new trilogy in ep9..

I hope they can find an elegant way to give her a proper send-off, avoiding bizarre jabba CGI trickery, holograms and the likes. Better to just acknowledge reality and move all the storylines accordingly.
Perhaps she was supposed to team up with Luke again, or perhaps she could finally unleash her powers and defeat Dumbo, we'll never know :'(
Holograms maybe not, but as a Jedi force ghost it should be acceptable, since Alec Guinness was a force ghost for 2 movies.

Just tell the audience in the intro story credits she died in a shuttle accident or assassination via the First Order and they will avenge her death... DONE!
