Um, well i didnt really know where to post this, but here goes.
Me and my friends have been trying to use different LAN-apps (battlelan, hamachi etc) to play various games over the net which did not have direct ip.

Now, it works, the progs and such work. The problem is that my computer will not allow any "information" at all to other systems..
Not even my guest computers here at home can access my computer, not even browse it, nothing. And i have no idea why. Its a pretty recent problem that i havent seen before.

So im basically just wondering if anyone out there has had the same thing happening to them, and knows why, or what did it for them.
I've gone trough every single "service", every single network setting, every user/guest setting and all are as they should be, of course turned off the firewall etc etc, tried everything, im dead in the water, cant figure it out.

So in short, the problem is that my computer wont allow access to anyone on LAN (but via normal internet everything works fine, even the desktop sharing :S).
Thx =)

What message are u getting?

Does it say : You dont have Permission rights, contact system admin?

If so, there is a registry fix I can post if needed.

I had same problem with windows XP- All files were shared, but couldnt access em within network. No firewalls, etc..Kept on saying I dont have rights..

Here's the fix for it..It works perfect. Got my LAN working..Pain to fine this post-but props to whoever I got it from:

Start>Run>Regedit>Hkey_Local_Machine>System>Current Control set>Control>Lsa. Now open the lsa folder... check the "restrict anonymous" file, NOT NOT NOT the "restrict anonymoussam" file. Make sure the Restrict Anonymous file value is set to zero(0) and not one(1). If the value is set to one(1) change it to zero(0) by double clicking on the words restrict anonymous. From here go to file and exit. Now try to connect to this system from another system or vice versa. You may need to repeat this action on the systems on your network that you cannot connect to. the registery lsa fix did the job. Excellent. Remember to reboot after making the change to the registery.
