What to buy? My current cheap ass H61M board has massive leaks so the Mic gets some weird noises..
So I thought of getting a USB mic for myself to avoid any such issues in the future.
Any recommendations? I haven't had anything but this 10€ desktop mic for past 10 years propably.
Would be also nice if I could get something that doesn't pick up sound across the room (TV), is that possible?

But it's mic connector, not USB. I would need external soundcard for that if I want to avoid all static etc.
Like I said, I would prefer USB mic cause it should eliminate all background noise that motherboard etc create.
Granted my Z77 OC Formula didn't seem to have that issue but still would like something that eliminates all possibilities of background noise without having to buy a soundcard for the microphone alone.

I'm plugged directly into my motherboard and no one gets any static from me. i guess if you're using an el-cheapo motherboard it might be relevant you'll be fine on the motherboards we end up using. They wouldn't have the reputation and sales they do if using their mic connector was having static from their motherboard.

I bought one recently and after searching the web for a while I found that two most suggested ones are:
Blue Snowball (best price/performance ratio): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Microphones-Snowball-iCE-Microphone/dp/B006DIA77E
Blue Yeti (better than Snowball, but twice the price): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-Microphones-Yeti-USB-Microphone/dp/B002VA464S
Both offer great audio quality, personally I went with Snowball and been happy with it, I can barely tell the difference between the two and the price difference didn't feel like it was worth it.
But you didn't specify if you needed a gaming mic or something for commentary/music/interviews. These are more for the latter and I don't know how good they are in gaming.

Well it is true that I never heard any complaints with my Z77 OC Formula about my mic, only now with the cheap ass temporary H61M-VG4.
Will have to think about this bit, should get my mobo back next week and really check how the sound quality is with that.

USB can also put out some noises to audio devices... my 400 euro X99 board makes randomly strange noises to my genelec speakers if the dac was connected via usb.

Your headphones already have an attachment for a modmic. You should just get that.
