english spoken by british people gives me the creeps ,no offence, it sounds very snobbish to me compared to the "american" english

i dunno bout snobby, but sometimes u cant understand a fuckin word they say.
I cant remember who answered my question, but they have like different version of english depending on what town/province ur in. and one english town may not know anothers type of slang...thats what the guy wrote anyway

we have a right to be snobs. and i don't see how my accent (up north) is snobbish. nor is a brummie,scouse,geordie etc. only places like the upper end of London sound like the shut u'll hear. Watch British TV shows like 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps and that's a "normal" english accent. no sctrong brum etc. accents there.

Most english accents aren't snobbish, it's just most american dialects that sounds like whomever speaks it is a loud-mouthed retard from the barn.
Anyone who has ever listened to ie. "Spike" in Angel/Buffy and calls his dialect "snobbish" is way off... in fact ie. Frasier/Niles in the series "Frasier" are way more snobbish, and they're hardly english.
Snobbish are about characters, not languages.
Though, I may agree that english people are more oftenly well-spoken, whereas americans are more oftenly loud-mouthed.
