Has anyone got a Blu-ray writer? If so what are your experiences with one?

I want to back up a lot of stuff securely, yes I can buy HD's but we all know they can die. Writers have come down in price quite a lot recenty so I am toying with the idea of getting one but not too sure on reliability,ease of use, best disks to use. Etc.

I do not want to back up Blu-ray films, only data storage

Any comments are welcome. Thanks
