http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/10/21/pixeljunk-shooter-ultimate-makes-surprise-landing-on-pc-today.aspx
Quote: | PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate hit the PlayStation 4 and Vita last year, and now PC players can get in on the action. The game, which combines the campaign from the original PixelJunk Shooter and its sequel, is available today.
Shooting is obviously a core part of the game, but negotiating tricky environments is a big part, too. Pilots have to avoid lava, water, oil, and other fluid – or use these liquids to solve environmental puzles. Players can swap between a faux-3D look or the classic style from the original release. Developer Double Eleven worked closely with Q-Games on the release, and the studios say the PC version is the definitive version of the game.
It's available for $9.99, and that price is being discounted 10 percent during its launch week. If you already purchased PixelJunk Shooter on Steam, you can receive a 20-percent discount. And if you're a loyal PixelJunk fan, you can get an additional discount for having PixelJunk Monsters, PixelJunk Eden, or Nom Nom Galaxy: five percent off for each game. The discounts can be combined, too. |

kinda strange beast it looks like its part-sequel and part-remaster
Quote: | The new features include:
- Shooter 1 and 2 combined featuring all of the levels from the two games.
- The Graphics and UI overhauled to create the new ‘Ultimate’ art style.
- The scoring, combo and rewards systems have been improved.
- We added a host of new features to make it easier for players to 100% complete the game – including a treasure tracker so players know how many treasures are in each area and progress indicators on each level so players always know what they missed.
- You can switch between the new ‘Ultimate’ art style and the ‘Classic’ art style at any time.
- Keyboard & Mouse support with full Key Rebinding available.
- Steam Achievements, Leaderboards and Trading Cards.
- Rebalanced Online Battle mode which makes it much quicker to progress through the ranks and unlock new items.
- A new Photo Mode which allows players to instantly pause the game and remove the HUD for beautiful screenshots.

Quote: | This isn't a direct port of the PS4 version, we did a lot of work over the last year to make this run better and fit into the PC eco system. We run at 1080p, 60FPS+ as well have a number of PC features, graphical or otherwise. |
