Secret Ponchos takes place in a dramatic Wild West setting, full of tension, stylization and attitude reflective of a graphic-novel. In a town crawling with bandits, murderers and bounty hunters you are an outlaw with a bounty on your head and everyone is gunning for you. In order to survive you must be the best and to gain notoriety you must defeat your opponents–claiming their achievements as your own. How many you kill and the rewards you collect define your legacy.
Secret Ponchos establishes a new compelling format of combat. It's quick twitch action gaming, that is fast paced, fun. and competitively addictive. Presenting combat from an overhead isometric view, dramatically changes the feel of Fighting game and Team Shooter genres. You have a 360 degree view of the action unfolding around you, and game-play is driven by both what you choose to do, and how well you can control timing and spacing for quick twitch battles.
Game modes:
Domination 2vs2, 4vs4 - Deathmatch 1vs1, 2VS2, 4VS4 - Free-For-ALL 8 player (Early Access has Domination 2vs2 for now)
I was originally really looking forward to this, back when it was announced for PS4 and the devs said they "might" bring it to PC, but then I saw that it is multiplayer only... shame
I know, but I doubt a single player campaign wouldn´t suit the game fast-paced mechanics. It´s a fun game though, and pretty cheap too.
really ?
add tons of zombies or undead ,
add mission objectives ,
add comic book panel story line about some indian curse ,
bam you have a successful single player game ,
heck its only a simple isometric top down shooter ,
like Alien Shooter or anything similar Dead Nation ...
don't say they did not had the money or time to make maps for SinglePlayer missions
Well, it´s a small studio (5 man team with some contributors) and maps are quite small for a campaign. It´d take a lot of work. I enjoy the game for what it is, I can´t complain. Myabe a coop survival mode or something would be nice.
"We would love to add a single player campaign if its possible in the future, but in the mean time we are 100% focused on the multiplayer experience."
I played the first alpha of Meridian and it was pretty generic. I bow to the guy who made it, but it´s nothing special. I´ll try phase 3 later.
I´m not saying is not actually possible to make a sp campaign of secret ponchos, all i´m saying is that, if the game was built with multiplayer in mind and it´s not in the developer plans to release a campaign, i´d still buy the game and play for what it is, not for what it could be or add. Being an alpha, the game has an excellent overall quality. Graphics, gameplay and music are all top notch.

And the flip side of this discussion:
Quote:
How long did it take to develop this up to this point? Also, just realized it's a single-player game. With most RTS games out there being multiplayer, I wouldn't mind a multiplayer component being added to this later on.
P2p was to be expected from such a developer. I've watched the steam charts and their release went kinda unnoticed. It also happen so sudden, probably they were in desperate need of money.
It's a shame if this game goes to waste.
