maybe not the driver but the shitty software you are forced to install with it? dunno if there is a method now to install only the driver. google that
but if its related to that shitty chip: just deactivate it and get a dedicated card. 1000base-t cards for pci available for less than 5 bucks or pcie for less than 10. doesnt matter which bus you use, pci is fast enough for gbit ethernet too. just pick the one which port you have available
technically yes, but depends on the board. some boards only accept gfx cards in the slots, just try or google. and depends on the board if it splits the pci express lanes if something is plugged into another slot. but that should be mentioned in the manual
Gotta watch, and avoid at all costs, these new motherboards with the 'killer' shit integrated. One can usually get away with a 'driver only solution', but in most cases, it sucks donkey balls and is best avoided.
