Good drunken debate from a few nights ago
The question: How many 7 year-olds could you take on at once?
The specifics:
- You are in an enclosed area, roughly the size of a basketball court. There are no foreign objects.
- You are not allowed to touch a wall.
- When you are knocked unconscious, you lose. When they are all knocked unconscious, they lose. Once a kid is knocked unconscious, that kid is "out."
- I (or someone else intent on seeing to it you fail) get to choose the kids from a pool that is twice the size of your magic number. The pool will be 50/50 in terms of gender and will have no discernable abnormalities in terms of demographics, other than they are all healthy kids.
- The kids receive one day of training from hand-to-hand combat experts who will train them specifically to team up to take down one adult. You will receive one hour of "counter-tactics" training.
- There is no protective padding for any combatant other than the standard-issue cup.
* The kids are motivated enough to not get scared, regardless of the bloodshed. Even the very last one will give it his/her best to take you down.
I set my magic number at 30, but upon reflection, I think I could take on a few more. How many could you take on?

Well it depends i'm sure that i could KO them 1 by 1 easily with a twat in the face but if they're trained i'm sure if they surrounded me like 10 charging at me all at once i think they could possibly get me restrained and then the other's could just keep digging me until i was knocked out.

If they're as big as some 7 yr olds I've seen, then 1 on 1.

I remember reading a story a year or two ago about a group of kids in the US (about 6-12 years old) who beat to death someone for fun, with blood spattered everywhere, IIRC that wasn't even close to 30, more like 15 to 20. I'll try and find the newsstory.

honestly, if they were regular size kids, i'd boot each one in the head on their way in to do something to me...i might take a few shots, but nothing big. |

I have a question. Is it legal to use something off of one of the already knocked out 7 year olds as a weapon? If not is it legal to use the entire kid as a weapon?
If I can steal a shoe or something to start blasting kids with I think I could last for a long time. If this is the case I think I could take out 32-35.
If this isn't the case then I think I could take on about 23-25.
Edit: at first I thought it said standard issue 'crap" not cup. If I didnt get a cup I'd say 10 cause that would be their point of attack for sure.

hmmm yea cus if we could use the knocked out ones as a weopon id take one and swing him by the legs into the others kinda like a top

LOL this has got to be the most distrurbing "what if" thread I've seen in a long time.
I'm guessing I could take 30 to 35... As long as I can wear my old army boots. Those things hurt like a bitch if you get kicked with 'em. I'm kind of a slender build though so if I hadn't been in the army at all the number would probably be around 15 or 20.

I think this would be more about getting exhausted rather then beaten down by the kids. In that regard I think I could take out maybe 30.
Then your knuckles would start to swell up, and you would be so tired the kids could probably get in quite a few hits because you couldn't react in time.
Do they all come at you at once, so like 30 at a time? Because you would tire so quickly just trying to defend yourself with that number.

i'd finish them all. they are seven year olds. use psychoogy to scare them as hell. then go after them and pick one out after another. if you make them mindless killers i stand no chance against more then 5.

It mentions that they recieve 1 day of combat training designed to take down 1 human adult. Unless they, or the people training them, are fucking retards, the first part of this training will be to demonstrate how much a single human adult could scare them, and teach them not to be scared. Also, it mentions that they'd fight to the last and not be afraid of bloodshed, so beating the crap out of one in front of the others, wouldn't work either.
That rules out psychological tactics. From here, it depends on how smart the kids are. If they're smart enough to surround you, those in front of you keeping your attention and those behind you using each other to jump on top of you (i.e. one crouches while others use him to get a good jump on your back, you'd have 2-3 of the little shits on your back within 10-15 seconds. If they're smart, you'll have 6-7 of them within 20 seconds. Given that the average weight of a 10 year old is 80 pounds (here), I assume that the average 7-year old would weigh 65. With 3 of them on your back, you're fighting with 195 pounds (appx. 95kg) of actively moving, biting weight on your back. If they go for your eyes, your attention will have to shift to those on your back while those in front of you are free to do whatever they want to you. Since they can't deliver a significant amount of damage while you're standing (or hunched) they'd go for your legs, which you'd have no use of at that point. They'd take you down, and from there on you're fucked.
That's with 10 kids fighting you.
I'd say optimally I can take 5-10 (I'm 18, very slender build without much training, average height).

Come on though 7 yr olds, can easily beat them down with 1 punch with either hand and can give em a twat with ur foot if need be. like i said it all depends on how they attacked me but if it was just in a line 1 or 2 on me max at the same time it would be well in the 100s

wtf, those dudes who say 30 have no idea how much that is.
and they had training, they are 7 and not to stupid. still i have heard this one before and i was told it was allowed to beat their heads against a wall or against eachother so thats why i can take on 15 with little problems. i'm not that easy to take down 
besides, you run faster then little kids, just tire them out, or run, strike 1 one out, run, strike 1 out

1 day of training. i dont think many 7 year olds would actually pick up the training not enough to stop a fully grown person throwin a punch. could have them hanging from the arms and still take em down

This is easy. Just pick one of them up and use it as a weapon to take the rest out. I doubt many 7 year olds will get up after being smacked across the face with the body of a 7 year old.
