She really needs a new one Her old one is a Sony Vaio, but it survived way too much shit (tea spilled twice), now it basically makes a noise like a jet 24/7 and it's slow as fuck It has 4 GB of RAM and an i3 @ 2.13 GHz.
Anyway.
Maximum budget is around $650.
The three main things she wants is long-ish battery life and some performance improvement.
The main ones I've been looking at are ASUS Transformer Book Flip TP500LA and LENOVO FLEX 2. I'm not totally sure about them, so any other ideas are welcome.
because its a sony. those things magicly suck in dust like a vacuum cleaner.
if it still has waranty -> send it in, they do the nasty cleaning work for you. if not -> do it by yourself. buy a new ssd and you are fine. but already said that done that with a vaio from a friend. was slow as fuck,hot and loud. she already send it in a year ago or so, but again it was dusty as fuck and out of warranty -> is now fast, not loud and not nearly as hot as it got before
