I'm continually stunned that SE keep skipping out on physical controller support for their iOS/Android releases.. but then I recover and remember that it's Square-Enix, and competence isn't really their forte these days :\ If this sells well, and it will, I have no doubt FFVIII will be next - again ported from the PC release. Sadly this pretty much negates IX coming since there was no PC release.
Was about to say the same. They sure know where they can milk every last penny.
Also no MFI support? And Iphone5s for minimum? I don't care actually as I own one, but this game ran on a fucking PS1. The 3Gs should have enough horsepower for this. They probably just couldn't be arsed to optimize anything.
That "no encounters" feature could be nice for some people tho. I remember there are low-level runs where at the beginning you have to run from every battle until you aquire the materia that lets you instantly get out of battles.

if i would own a ipad (think its useless on the iphone) i may would think about buying this if its done properly. but no fucking way that i pay 20 bucks for a 18 year old game. even 10 would be too much
On Android most Square Enix games cost around 15€. I guess it's the same for iOS.
If they keep those high prices, there are probably enough people willing to pay that much money.
Well, lucky for them.

Porting Up to 12 (11 not inculdes for oblivious reasons) is not that of problem considering Phones these days much stronger then Ps2 ,though it will be interesting if X will be based on PS3 Version. also I hope as 3 and 4 : 5,6,9,X,12 will get Official Pc version.
