Kyn is a single-player video game that mixes exciting team combat with an engrossing world worth exploring.
Kyn is scheduled for release on Windows, Mac, and Linux!

In the world of Kyn, magic is a widely feared power that has lead to many tragedies in the past. Only the brightest and most skilled warriors are allowed to use it.
Rumors of terrible abuse of magic are becoming more frequent. And there are signs that the peace in your realm will not last much longer.
Quote:

Team-based combat
Control up to six powerful warriors in tactical combat that rewards making smart decisions in tough situations. Pick your favorite skills and equipment, and lay waste to your enemies!
In Kyn observing your environment is a matter of life and death. When you are defending an area, traps and defensive skills will make short work of the enemy. But putting an arrow in the knee of a running scout is much easier with a great bow and swift feet.

Skill Synergy
Your warriors are empowered with a wide range of skills and abilities. A skill does not stand on its own. Every skill can gain incredible power by feeding on elements in the environment.
Want to do a more powerful attack with your mighty axe? Why not charge it up on the candles around you? No fire in the area? A volley of burning arrows can change that. As your warriors grow in battle so do their abilities to destroy the enemy in creative ways.

Mind, Body, Control
The warriors’ abilities are based on three attributes. Mind attunes the warrior to the magical undercurrent and unlocks powerful spells. Body transforms your warrior into a close quarter combat specialist. Control gives great mobility and makes the warrior proficient with bows and traps.

Pick six savage warriors who fight shoulder to shoulder ripping apart anything that is thrown at them, or use fast-moving bowmen to take out small groups of enemies unnoticed and place traps for unsuspecting patrols. Summon fierce undead and Valkyries to take the brunt of the enemies attack while you flank for the lethal blow. The abilities of your team will have a big impact on the way you play!

Explore!
Kyn is full of interesting characters and mysteries long forgotten. Achieving your goals is not always straightforward. Don’t despair though, take a look around, interact with the locals. It will surely be worth the effort.
Travel to ancient ruins filled with intricate puzzles. Visit lush landscapes and snowy mountains and overcome their obstacles. Help neighboring cities as they struggle in the war. And in the end, unlock the mysteries of the world of Kyn.

Crafting & Schematics
Kyn has an unique crafting system that combines the elemental properties of crafting materials to create powerful equipment. Kyn has over a hundred different crafting materials that are used in hundreds of schematics waiting to be discovered!
While crafting schematics can be found in many ways, the spirit stone is the most unique. If you place the right materials on the stone, a schematic will unlock! Unlocking the schematics for a simple bow or axe is easy, but unlocking the schematics of the most powerful weapons and armor will provide a true challenge.

Powerful Enemies

The world of Kyn is inhabited by strange and powerful beings. With their wide range of abilities and complex artificial intelligence they will provide a true challenge!

As you progress the enemies don’t just become stronger, but are also more intelligent. Your enemies will have better tactical coordination and use a powerful range of abilities. A tactic that worked earlier in the game will be smartly outmaneuvered later on, and you will need to adopt new tactics to overcome your foes.

We don’t treat monsters just as traditional monsters. Certain camps have elderly, unarmed women and children in their village they protect.”

Game is set for launch on PC, Mac and Linux this summer,

Yet another tactical party-based RPG, great... Would be cool if I'd like them, but I don't really. I kind of feel sick of them already and a lot of them didn't even come out. There are a few that I'll still try, like that Runemaster one, but still...

As long as it's not another "part 1" escapade I'll be happy. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm certainly tired of promising games being split across multiple chapters. I understand why it's done, but as an entitled gamer (Cool Face) I don't like waiting Sad

Haha Very Happy I can assure you that you're definitely not alone on that one. Though too often curiosity wins me over and I end up playing them unfinished stuff/episodes/chapters anyway, only to regret the decision shortly after because waiting is annoying and my shitty memory doesn't help Okay Laughing

Yup, same here.. shitty memory coupled with impatience means I play the episodes when they launch and then pretty much forget what happened between the release of the next chapter, heh. Speaking of which, I still need to play Ep5 and 400 Days from TWD Facepalm

Really wanted to enjoy, but nope, got really boring.

Don't see anything tactical. The slow-motion pause is bad.
No camera rotation.
Lot of skills available over time (level based), but you can have only 2 active skills? Bah.
Inventory is a mess. One common inventory across all characters. Neutral
Crafting system is nice, but feel like it'll be overdone with crazy amount of mats.
Dull combat and generic (trash) mobs.

Good thing is you can reset your skill points whenever you can and try out new builds and stuff.
Soundtrack is nice.

Sad

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
