Described as a complex contemporary drama about power politics in the New York world of high finance,Billions takes an insider look at this world by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures – the hard-charging, politically savvy U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis). Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad co-star
Paul Giamatti is a fucking fine actor, he always gives his best. Damian Lewis I have no real feelings about, but he is efficient and acts really well. Maggie Siff is also always a pleasant sight, always convincing.
This serie isn't shallow and one sided, and for a first ep, not only is it promising, but it seems like the beginning of something very nice.
In short: I recommand you seeing it.

What a fantastic first episode. I knew that it was going to be good from all your comments, but it still surprised me. I hope the shows can retain the same quality in the future, with this cast anything is possible.
As expected both Giamatti and Lewis are bloody good, but everyone is killing it. I really like Maggie Stiff's character too (in..all senses )

Ehhhh... though it tried to be a little too edgy, but I'm hoping that's due to the "it's a pilot" factor. Still the two leads make me expect good things

Thank jeebus that the actors make this watchable, because some of the writing is just shit.
Cliches after cliches, beating you over the head with shit telegraphed from a million miles away, lame scenes and lines trying to be edgy ("His mouth is as loose as my first wife's cunt after our second son" )... could be so much better than it is

Why expose Hall to her like that? Why expose him in front of his company at all especially when there is the suspicion that they're being surveyed, especially after the guy the da grabbed refused to cooperate with them?
Other than that it was a pretty good ep
