Don't know why but this is the game of the E3 for me. And that's from big list of fantastic games like Fallout 4, Uncharted and other games. Just looks so good.
I like everything so far, the combat, the world, your enemies, and the most is the protagonist, just awesome looking game.

... and boring like any other Monster Hunter?

Why Hnnnnggggnnn? Solely because of nice art? The trailer shows nothing apart from Monster Hunterness
Because it looked good to me, okay? I don't really understand this strange "you have to explain yourself!" phenomenon lately. The gameplay looked great, the visuals looked great, I was impressed, I want the game, thus "hnnnngnnnn!"
I'm not getting at you waargh, it's just something I've started noticing a lot more lately. Whenever someone gets excited for something, it invariably precedes the demands for justification and explanation. It's... odd and tiring.

Well, you made it up about 'explain yourself'. I didn't ask for that.
I was just surprised that an experienced player is hunnnngggg'ed by a video with 0 actual gameplay shown. It is literally absent. The same (and even much more) amount of it was shown in Xenoblade X videos and now the reviews say it's a beautiful borefest.
I agree it's very beautiful and somehow unique but no morning wood until I see what is there to do in this world. Even ARK has more sense than hunting mecha dinos.

As far as game reveals go, this was pretty impressive. Great and atypical setting, some relatively cool gameplay concepts (I liked how she tied that robot up, for example), great visuals and art style, and most of all - it was revealed through gameplay, not a cinematic... what more do we need, seriously? It's a reveal, not game launch, of course we don't know much about the game yet.

Yes, you did. You did exactly that. You asked me to justify myself as if what I find interesting is somehow beholden on your understanding.

The whole trailer was gameplay, at least as far as I'm aware, not a cutscene or CG. It was presented as gameplay and thus; hnnnnnggnnn. You're right that we don't know anything about the story or the game mechanics or anything yet, but that will come and if the game turns out to be boring shitfest.. I'll lose interest in it. For now, the gameplay shown impressed the hell out of me

Yo, stop seeing KC in everyone I'm a friend, we come in peace

Well yes I guess the problem is that for me 'gameplay' includes abovementioned mechanics and the 'why am I doing this, why I WANT to do it'. Not just an animated character model interacting with sandbox environment and mechs.

Sorry, I get a little edgy when pressed to explain my likes sometimes, haha!

Aye, like I said; if it turns out to be a snorefest, I'll reevaluate my opinion
Easily best trailer of the conference. I think Sabin deserves all the teeth kicking he gets but I have to agree with them here: put aside the graphics which are of course incredible coming from GG, but you have an incubator for an incredibly deep and rich world that hasn't been tried before (to my knowledge). If anyone is able to look at that trailer and shrug their shoulders, I have to question what the fuck they want in gaming.
Sad but to be expected It seems like the vast majority of console games will still stick to the decade old 30fps "standard" (Uncharted 4 is 30fps in SP, 60fps in visually-reduced MP) and then say they're doing it to push the visuals.
I think it's pretty obvious they're making a Monster Hunter game in an open world. Months go by and still not a single word about WHAT are you doing in this game and - most importantly - WHY (i.e. the story). And still they're actively promoting large boss fights which Monster Hunter is all about.
Wake up guys, it's no Last of Us and not even Tomb Raider.
