I would say: aren't you taking it a bit too far?
One person actually showed the behaviour you were talking of, the rest I just see the usual venting that comes with these things. If we would leave or run from every situation where there has been things said that goes against our views... well there's not many places we'd end up with.
Just stand your ground and deal with people being very different from yourself.
