Oh fuck this.
After riding subway for past 12 years, "manspreading" is honestly the 1%.
99% is tourists/fat people/people putting their stuff on seats next to them is the real problem.

people that spread on the trains here are normally wearing jogging shorts, look like ethnic minority sorts and bounce the legs or feet constantly up and down with earphones in till they get off.
Oh and both hands are in the pockets. |

There was someone on the buss who said no when i asked to sit. I just replied "the question was simply me being courteous" and sat down, and he didn't say anything after that.

‘Manspreading’: New misdemeanor plaguing NYC subway, first arrests reported

Entire blogs have been created to document the culprits who don’t comply. Even actor Tom Hanks was publicly shamed, being called the “new face of manspreading.”
Hanks excused himself, saying that the “train was half empty.” |

Well, I was a victim of manspreading-shaming.
I just arrived home to Budapest after 16 hours of train travel, multiple switches. Was tired. Took the metro home, and sat, and put my baggage between my feet, just so someone could take a seat near me. They had ample space.
Suddenly, I notice someone raising a phone towards me, and I'm asking what the fuck. (FYI, I had lost someone very close to me, came from funeral - so I was in a bad mood, and I HATE my picture being taken). And she's says she's taking a picture, and she will post it on Facebook, I'm taking up seats. I said no she isn't going to do that, I gave no permission to use my picture, if I find it, I will sue. She said I was threatening her, and started speaking more bullshit (she never took the picture), and I was just too tired to argue with a stranger on the subway, so I got off on the next stop.
I'm stunned, that this shit has reached Europe. Seriously, what the actual fuck! Where was I supposed to put my baggage? I ALWAYS give my seat to older people, or pregnant women or people with kids. I always do that. yet out of all the fucking people, who "manspread", they wanted to take a picture of me. (I was wearing full dark suit, maybe because that fit in the narrative).
Time to stop financing women studies courses, if you ask me. This has gone overboard.
