Hmmmmmmmmmm... it sounds good, but my experience with OpenBoR is not a good one. Crappy animations, lousy sounds, piss-poor hit detection. I've yet to play an OpenBoR game that didn't feel like something some fan threw together in a weekend, it reminds me of the early days of MUGEN grinhurt Still, I'll check it out, thanks man!

Welcome Smile

I gave it a quick play through myself just now, got a bit lost in trying to find quests, but the fighting animation is just spot on. I thought I was playing with one of those giant sticks and buttons at the local Arcades Laughing

Oh well, I tried it but it's a no-go. Doesn't even launch.. the BoR window opens and immediately freezes, eventually throwing up a Windows error if I click anything. Yeah, the OpenBoR engine and I just don't have a good history together.

~edit~

"Run as Admin" // "Compat Mode: Windows 7" seems to do it, it loads now.

~edit~

I'm definitely very impressed by this, it's certainly one of - if not the - nicest BoR titles I've seen. Animations are nice, hit detection is very D&D SoM/ToD arcade, and I'm loving the sheer enormity of the world and the amount of people you can talk to. Shame there's no quest log though, it seems very easy to get swamped and not even know where you're going grinhurt
