I loved my Amiga, all of them, though I have the longer and best memories with my humble A500. The games, the music, the feelings... just a simply magical time and not a day goes by where I don't miss how it used to be I remember playing a demo slice of one of my, now, all-time favourite games; DreamWeb. It was a handful of rooms which had you breaking into a hotel suite in order to execute David Crane. I played that demo to death, dozens of times, and eventually walked a hell of a long way to a "local" carboot sale and bought a Yarr copy of it from a bootlegger.
Amazing game, amazing machine, amazing memories.
That's just one in a hundred, if not more, titles that blew my mind on the Miggy.
I had all three! There was also another one, a tall ball-top stick with a wide but thin base that had a pitted rough surface and one fire button on each side of the stick. I'll post it if I can remember it -- but what I really liked about the Amiga, and C64, was that you could use Megadrive controllers on them!
you know what pissed me the most in those Amiga Joysticks ... some of those used Springs for your direction buttons and you could break those so easily it was crazy ...
when they started to use buttons then springs ... that was a fucking blessing
Haha I loved those controllers, also had a couple of them. And indeed twas great that even our Megadrive arcade stick and such worked on it! Good times

Except from the classic red/black ones I had this one:
Spoiler:
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Fucking piece of shit quickshot, we broke so many of them. Especially with midnight resistance and led storm
fuckin yes, midnight resistance, now those are some memories with a fine contra clone, even if we had to choose between background music and sound effects
my amiga 500+ is still in mint working condition, after a few small repairs we did on it in the last 10 years thx to replacement parts on ebay.
time to fire it up again, even if only to listen to the turrican 2 intro music
