|
 |
Seriously I have tested a few programs but they suck.
Which is the better program for recording videos for Youtube ?
Free preferably, but not a must.
Im installing MSI Afterburn, it says you can record videos with it.
Any help or tips would be great.

Do you have a "newer" GeForce gfx card? Just use shadow play with GeForce Experience, it's perfect.

I have a 580GTX and I uninstalled the GeForce Experience because it killed my computer, it did something strange and would freeze my computer, so I uninstalled it.
Thanks, gonna see about using it.

Quality-wise, nothing beats fraps, so I use that
But if you want more lightweight dxtory with proper settings isn't bad either.

Oh I said geforce experience because of shadowplay. You won't be able to use it then use fraps but 1080@60fps will be VERY taxing on your hdd :/

Bandicam ... also uses the same technics as Shadowplay but it memory hooks sometimes break the memory of a game and corrupt the textures when you use it ... use it only on GDi games that use software mode / desktop , don't use Direct X
Mirillis Action! ... also the same thing as Shadowplay but it uses encryption , so all files captured by it must be edited with the same software that captures it ... :/
The only thing you can do now is to get DXtory and use a Xvid encoder with 80% quality in it
then you have to Time frame all files with ffmpeg , with the simple command line "-i * -c copy -copyts *.*"
* is your filename
or use a simple bat script
set ffmpeg="ffmpeg.exe"
for %%f in (*.XYZ) do %ffmpeg% -i "%%f" -c copy -copyts "%%f.XYZ"
XYZ change it to your movie extension like Avi or Mp4
if you don't process it , you get out of synch sound
And don't use Handbrake its awful , use Avidemux ... scripting is the way

Whats with this damn pay taxes on digital download keys or programs within the EU ?
All of a sudden its popping up everywhere. G2Play.net started a few months ago now
others are doing the same.
I thought there was free buying/selling within the EU. You pay taxes from the country
you purchase from.
At the moment Im using a 990X 3.5 Ghz with 12Gig, and 4 HDs.580GTX.
Thanks for the responses. Looks like a few programs to test and see which is best.
Thanks all.

Else just use Fraps and then manually encode into h264 via Handbrake/MediaCoder for higher-quality vids & better size.
BTW:
A) What CPU?
B) How quick is your quickest Harddisk/SSD? |
I use a 990X, 12Gig, Win7 64b, 580GTX.
I installed FFsplit. Pretty nice but how exactly do you record gameplay from a game with FFplit ?
I put in a "hotkey" L-Alt it records the desktop but not ingame.
Thanks.

isnt it possible to use dxtory now with AMD version of shadowplay aka VCE? would make the old way of x264vfw obsolete.

I find that Afterburner works better with MJPEG for me. Better performance and quality. You do get larger files, but for Youtube you would probably want to encode them with something like Handbrake anyway. You get better source quality if you want it, and MJPEG seems to be very responsive when it comes to editing.

For real-time h264 encoding Raptr is the better option as far as performance impact is concerned, if you are on AMD. I have found all other "3rd party" VCE solutions to be worse. I think Action! was pretty good as well, but it's not really free.

So I installed the Dxtory program to test it but get only a black picture.
I hear the sounds but black picture.
I changed the resolution to 1920x1080 to record.
Also the Mic doesnt work and it should, I enabled it.
Also are the files supposed to be a whopping 4-5 Gig for just 25 secs recorded ?
Any advice please ?
Thanks.
