|
 |
Hi guys,
anyone knows why a buddy of mine gets this weird performance issues in fullscreen?
It stutters like crazy in fullscreen mode but runs butter smooth in windowed mode.
His specs are FX6300,8gigs ram & GTX 760
I tried everything from reinstalling windows (was full of malware anyway),changing turbomode & cool n quite in bios and i can not find the freaking problem.
anyone got an idea?

Sounds like maybe VSYNC is turned on for everything in the "Manage 3D settings" section in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

ah i forgot to add that the game ran fine for like 2 hours, then he left for work and came back in the evening, started the machine and the game started stuttering in the loading screen already.
checked temps and the cpu doesn`t go above 50,same with the gpu
so,i doubt that VSYNC is at fault here

Still, no harm in checking the "Manage 3D settings" section for it and power management mode is set to "maximum performance" plus the multi display setting set to "single display".
And the usual "100% performance, disable sleep etc etc" stuff in power settings.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

what mainboard and what cpu cooler? you should use a topblower, most of the manufacturers even say that on their page if you use fx cpu -> topblower cause voltage transformers getting to hot otherwise

you should be more specific in what you are saying to him,
topblower to most people would be a fan that blows air onto something.
or you could mean a fan that get rids of hot air in case by pushing it out, the TOP. meaning topblower but which way are you meaning
I use fx cpu and the top fan is sucking the hot air out the top. never had a problem with gaming or temps and with o/c and gtaV runs flawless here on it.
