Grim Fandango is definitley my favourite adventure game ever. They don't make 'em like that anymore. You've got noir, a rig on the edge of the world, abyss monsters, Glottis... One of the pinnacles of gaming in my opinion.
I remember playing the demo when it first came out, however I never got the game due to reasons beyond my control.
Just recently played it, and the game is friggin A+.
Unique characters/setting, good voiceacting, great story - its all there.
If only they still made em like that
I will admit though, some of the puzzles are a bit tricky for those that never really had extensive adventure experience back in the day (My experience was limited to the Leisure Suit Larry series).
However, I highly recommend this to anyone with even a remote intrest in this long lost genre.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
