I would love to play X-Wing with new graphics....I still remember playing X-Wing with mouse and trackball.... Amazing game it was.
I hope they will succeed. I think I will give them $.

Hmm.. Kickstarter is still a good platform if you want to collect money, but if they want MY money then I'd suggest them to build something that is far more advanced then just some concept art. Sorry, I know that they are sure sincere, but funding is never enough and before the game is finished they'll have to compromise on quality and we'll get a second takedown. NOBODY DESERVES A SECOND TAKEDOWN!
Oh and I think it's pretty cool that they have listed the 5 most important guys on their front page, like the Lead Designer, Creative Director, Writer & Executive Producer, Development Manager & Art Director. Oh wait. No. Where are the guys that are ACTUALLY going to develop the game? Not the "deciders". They can daydream all day long! Who is going to do the hard work? Who is experienced enough to actually program?
Fuck promises, possibilities and everything, if they don't show the respect for the people that actually sit there and work, they can suck it.
We've seen plenty of companies that are full of "deciders" but no doers...

And the goal is ... $250.000 and they don't have any actual gameplay to show? MUHAHAHAHAHahahahahaha
Just a simple c# specialists cost $80 an hour! Now what they need are at least 2 3d modellers (with animating skills), 2 2d/3d artists, 2-3 developers, 1 sound guy and so on.
Let's assume they found 7 people that really work for cheap $50 an hour:
250000 / 7 = $35714 dollar per person / $50 => 714 hours per person / 8 hours a day=> 89 days per person / 21 work days a month => 4 months & a week
Oh and this assumes that they'll pay for rent, machines, taxes, food & the 5 super principals out of their own pocket.
So either this game'll be ready by end of Oktober (ahahaha) or they just hope that people will give them more money because realistically seen they would at least require $600.000...

I think works more this these days,
Sell idea for classic game or re-envisioning to publisher $$$
Hit kick starter and indygogo, start making promises and hyping $$$
Keep kick starter running migrate to own website, keep hyping $$$
Release pos alpha crap on steam early access, $$$
If your real greedy put in game shop in early access alpha (h1z1) $$$
Stop development couple of months after launch of EA
At random release left over code as version 1.0, repeat process with new kick starter.

Looks pretty bad, IMHO, the graphics to begin with. At first I thought, oh, shit, I missed this KS, but then checked the actual KS pitch and I was glad I did not contribute to it.

I've had this in alpha for a while.. the premise of gameplay looks very good but there's just something missing in the content that feels...empty.
It could be quite good if it is ever made into a complete game...but I'm not holding my breath....
