This week I started a new board for Italo Disco music, especially devoted to the New Generation.
This music was very popular in the 80's (electronic disco) and now has a small comeback the last few years.
As I love this music I started a new community, so it's a pure hobby, non profit site... but it's hard to get new members.
Any tips for promoting would be welcome, I have done so far:
- Promoting on facebook channels of some artists / DJ's that are active in this music scene (which have a few thousand followers each).
- Subscribed to a website promoting site, which attracts unique visitors to your site (still doubt if this will have any effect, www.dutchleader.nl).
- Added a signature on other boards where I post with the link to my site.
In the meantime I got some 100 visits to my site the last 24 hours, mostly to this easyhits4u site (so without browsing the forum), so hopefully some guests are interested.
Seems harder than I thought, only 5 members yet... think I am going to look for some music forums and promote there later this week.
