I had nothing on common with the French until I gave up trying to read these posts
Thing is most french speakers here aren't even french I think
And also, I didn't understand anything you said
You had nothing in common with anything french even before you gave up on it? Or you gave up because you do not have, and had nothing in common before you even knew it?

Or Belgian? (but I guess nobody gives even the slightest fuck about us :< )
Haha no, I think it's because you guys don't fall into any blatant stereotypes, or don't have anything to be ashamed of (and even if you do, we aren't aware of it). It's not a bad thing, imo!
Your Dutch neighbours probably know some jokes though xD
This is SO true! English is good for rage swearing, but I guess French and Italian are the most pleasant swears a foreigner can hear, not knowing that what we say is the dirtiest shit someone could say, while it sounds like we're ordering some coffee

Haha, les jeux de mots à l'accent belge. "On rigole, rigole, mais la rigole ça mêne à l'égoût".
Haha, puns to Belgian accent. " We laugh , laugh, laugh but it mêne the mains drainage ."(lazy google translate)

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
